I walked by this trade for weeks on the buy one, get one shelf. Noting its simple clean art and coloring on the cover one night while waiting for a hero clix tourney to end, I picked it up to leaf through. Ever have one of those moments where a couple of panels leap out at you and you're instantly hooked on a book? that's what happened to me. I mean, come on, who can't relate to a scene of a teen, sitting on the "throne" reading the latest comic book, while his mother bangs on the bathroom door! With a grin on my face I continued reading. Kirkman's writing keeps things moving along as we watch Mark, Omni-Man's son, discover his powers and begins moonlighting as a do-gooder. Patrolling with Dad and discovering other Teen super heroes like Atom Eve and Dupli-Kate. Invincible is what I imagine Stan Lee would have wanted a certain web slinger to have been if created today.

The monthly's cover tag line used to read: "Girls, acne, homework, super villains. When you're a teenager, it helps to be...INVINCIBLE." C'mon what's not to like! I don't like grades, but if I were to give this book one, it would be an A.
